Quality Analysis and Sorting of Mango (Mangifera indica CV Nam Doc Mai) by Measuring Total Soluble Solids on-line using Short Wave Vis-NIR Spectroscopy and At line using Full Wave NIRS
Mango (Magnifera Indica CV Nam Doc Mai) is famous fruit in Thailand for delicious taste and flavor. Quality attributes of Mango includes total soluble solids, sugar, acidity, color etc. Total soluble solids (TSS) is one of the major factor to determine the quality attributes of Mango. Near Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has been used for nondestructive analysis of mango in order to determine different parameters. Nowadays, the demand of rapid on-line quality analysis of fruits and vegetable during production period is increasing. The main aim of this project will be the feasibility study for determination of TSS of mango using NIR spectrometer in both on-line and at-line condition. The model from this research could be further used for sorting the fruits.
